After mornos in my apartment, I visited the Info Centre to get a walking map, then met Sylvain near Maccas and we left on the Historical Walking Tour of Brisbane, about 12km. Even though I was a uni and then pre-reg student here in Brisbane between 1987-1991, the city has changed and I hardly recognised anything apart from the Queen St Mall and Botanic Gardens. We made our way back to the city via Rydges at Southbank to check out the venue for the MEPS meet and greet on Sunday night; it looks like it will be a fantastic venue.
We had lunch at Maccas in the Mall, then I went back to the apartment to meet up with Jane and Ann, who had just arrived. While Jane and Sylvain went off to their Council dinner, Ann, Ulf and I wandered down to Hotel West End where we had yummy meals and and good beer.
There were many other places we saw on the walking tour however, I forgot to take photos because we were talking too much!
